The Quiet Moose was in the process of moving from an interior design studio and furniture store on the outskirts of Petoskey to a new, larger location in the Downtown Historic Gaslight District. As owners, Mark and Cathy Jensen were eager to make an impact on their local community in Northern Michigan. They planned on using the new location as an opportunity to be part of an area hub for home design.
Their original marketing plan included social media, advertising, and local press releases. However, after reviewing their marketing efforts, they recognized that they needed to think creatively about the marketing strategy for their store’s Grand Opening. They wanted to capture the attention of new customers while also reconnecting with those who knew them best—the interior designers who used their services and those who shopped at their previous location.
Having a grand opening email marketing campaign was the best way to let as many people as possible know the store is open and ready for business.
The email campaign was sent out over 10 days. We created pre-campaign, campaign, and post-campaign emails to generate buzz about the new location. It started as soon as the move was announced and continued through the grand opening event itself. The second slide is ‘social proof’ of the turn-out.
