Since this is my site, you’ve probably already learned a good deal about me. But like all good storytellers, I’d be remiss if I didn’t include my origin story. So here’s how I got started…

Going to high school in Iowa was amazing but I craved something, anything new. Somewhere between the high school’s counselor’s office and the college admissions process, I decided that I didn’t want to go to college right after high school. I still didn’t know what I wanted to be.

I wanted to learn about life. I wanted to learn about things I didn’t know about. I wanted to hang out with friends from backgrounds different than mine. And I wanted the full life experience. Maybe that’s where it started? My desire to learn, learn and learn some more.

It was fate that led me to join the military. I had always been interested in learning about life, and what better way to do that than by joining the armed forces? I remember hearing a radio ad one night that said, “Be All You Can Be.” It sounded like the perfect opportunity for me to see and experience the world, so I decided to sign up.

Joining the military was one of the best decisions I ever made. I learned so much about myself and life in general. It gave me a deep sense of love and respect for my country, as well as an unbreakable bond with the people I served with. We were all brothers and sisters in arms, fighting together for a common cause. It was an experience that I’ll never forget.

After spending four years in the military, I decided to pursue my education. I chose Bellevue University because they offered a great degree program in Electronic Business. And then, shortly after graduating, I attended the Hallmark Institute of Photography.

I’ve since spent years working across industries in publications, sales, content marketing, and copywriting. Crafting content and inspiring customer loyalty to not just better a brand’s business, but to build meaningful connections with their audience. And ultimately drive them to take action.

Whether I’m working or enjoying Northern Michigan’s coastal location, you’re pretty much guaranteed to find Jinky, my chocolate Goldendoodle (and office mascot) by my side.
